A bank feed is a starting point. Your records also need review, appropriate categories, supporting information, and reconciliation against statements. The monthly scope defines who supplies records, how open questions are resolved, and what you receive at the close.

What the work can include

Monthly bookkeeping includes transaction review and categorization, account reconciliations, a monthly close, and financial reports within the agreed scope. The purpose is a consistent set of records you can discuss with your bookkeeper and tax professional.

Understand the reports you receive

A profit and loss statement shows income and expenses for a period. A balance sheet shows assets, liabilities, and equity at a point in time. Alexander helps connect those figures to everyday questions about the business. The exact reports and any additional analysis are defined in your proposal.

Starting price and scope

The published foundation scope starts at $425 per month for up to 100 transactions and three accounts. Larger scopes are quoted individually. Historical cleanup, catch-up, onboarding, and additional workflows may be quoted separately.

What you still handle

You provide access and statements through the agreed process, supply records for business purchases, explain unfamiliar activity, and make business decisions. Reliable bookkeeping is a working relationship, not a reason to lose sight of your own numbers.

Common questions

Are bills and customer invoices included?

Accounts payable and accounts receivable support are quoted case by case. They are not automatically included in the monthly starting price.

Can monthly work start if I am behind?

First we assess the backlog and accuracy of the existing records. Catch-up or cleanup may need to happen before a dependable monthly close is possible.
